Stevens Point schools and local police will host a public safety session covering cyberbullying, sextortion and artificial intelligence.

A local school district is partnering with law enforcement to address rising online threats facing students, including cyberbullying, sextortion and risks associated with artificial intelligence.

The Stevens Point Area Public School District and the Stevens Point Police Department will host an interactive digital safety session aimed at helping parents and community members navigate technology challenges in the home.

The event features a presentation on current online safety trends, proactive security strategies and local support resources. School administrators and law enforcement officers will also host an open forum, allowing attendees to ask questions and discuss how local agencies collaborate to protect students online.

The safety session is part of the district's ongoing initiative to connect families with experts on critical issues affecting modern educational environments.
