Columbia University has published its 2026 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report in compliance with federal disclosure requirements under the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act.
The document includes three consecutive years of reported crime statistics and on-campus housing fire incidents across all Columbia campuses. It outlines university safety policies, emergency protocols, crime prevention initiatives and Title IX procedures.
Under the Stop Campus Hazing Act, the university also maintains a Campus Hazing Transparency Report detailing findings of responsibility for anti-hazing policy violations. That report will be updated biannually in June and December.
Crime and fire statistics from the report are submitted annually to the U.S. Department of Education for public access. Printed copies of the safety report are available upon request through the university's Department of Public Safety.
