Nevertheless, when one occurs, it’s always devastating, often unpredictable, and evolves quickly. Whether at a school, a house of worship, or anywhere for that matter, one is still too many.

Three people were killed and another injured in a shooting at UNLV Wednesday afternoon in Las Vegas. The suspected gunman was killed in a shootout with law enforcement.
National news reports that a multistate manhunt is underway for a suspect who killed 18 people and injured 13 more at a bowling alley and bar in Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday night.
