Element 451 Announces New Tool to Detect College Enrollment Fraud
Colleges will be able to use AI-assisted identity checks and case management to investigate suspicious records while retaining decision authority.

Element451 has introduced Bolt Fraud Detection and Resolution, a tool designed to help colleges investigate suspected enrollment fraud by combining automated follow-up with Socure’s identity-verification technology.
The system is intended to examine application and student information for signs of fraud, coordinate verification requests and bring unresolved cases to employees for assessment. College personnel remain responsible for determining whether fraud occurred and making admissions or financial aid decisions.
According to Element451, the tool combines evidence review, applicant communications and case documentation in a shared process. AI agents handle follow-up tasks, while staff can examine supporting information and request additional verification, including live video appointments to confirm an applicant’s identity.
Monitoring is designed to continue after enrollment, allowing changes in student records or unusual activity to trigger further assessment.
The product is intended for admissions, enrollment and fraud investigation teams. Element451 said it can connect through supported integrations with other customer relationship management platforms, student information systems and fraud detection software.
