Saratoga Parents for Safer Schools is comprised of parents advocating for more school resource officers, more mental health services and for reworking the grounds monitor position to what the group calls a school security officer.

The warnings follow the death of a missing woman, Amanda Bailey, the ongoing search for another woman, Savannah Spurlock, and a reported sexual assault near EKU’s campus.

All district visitors will be required to present a valid state-issued ID in order to get a visitor pass and enter the school building. Upon scanning the state ID, school staff will be alerted as to whether the visitor is allowed on campus.
