School safety providers GeoComm and SchoolDog have formed a partnership to integrate digital mapping data with everyday district security management.
The collaboration connects GeoComm’s indoor and outdoor location intelligence with SchoolDog’s safety and operations platform. The joint initiative aims to assist K-12 administrators, facility managers and first responders in coordinating emergency plans and resolving daily safety hazards.
SchoolDog’s software allows school personnel to log safety observations, conduct campus audits, manage emergency operations plans and route facilities issues into maintenance work-order systems. Tracking concerns such as broken locks, propped doors or blocked pathways enables staff to monitor maintenance through completion.
Through the integration, GeoComm will supply structured spatial data derived from school architectural plans. The mapping system details physical layouts, including individual rooms, entrances, emergency exits and specific points of interest.
By combining physical floor plans with daily reporting tools, the companies intend to provide emergency personnel and school officials with shared spatial context during standard operations and critical incidents.
