Quest Academy Expands ZeroEyes Gun Detection Coverage
Quest Academy used funding from a Utah education grant to offset part of its first ZeroEyes installation.

Quest Academy Charter School in West Haven, Utah, will add ZeroEyes gun-detection software in more campus areas, expanding a system it has used for one year.
About 100 employees serve roughly 1,000 students in kindergarten through ninth grade. Classes are held in two main buildings and several portable structures.
ZeroEyes operates through the school's existing digital cameras. Images associated with a possible visible firearm go to the ZeroEyes Operations Center, where personnel determine whether the detection represents a threat. If the threat is verified, the company sends police and school officials information that may include the firearm's last observed location and details about the weapon and individual involved.
Coordination with area law enforcement and access restrictions at gates, classrooms and building entrances are also part of Quest Academy's security measures, along with cameras positioned indoors and outside.
