An 18-year-old Western Illinois University student accused of shooting another student in a campus dorm Tuesday night is in custody in Chicago, university officials confirmed in a Facebook post Wednesday afternoon.

Additional security staff have been added at The University of Notre Dame COVID-19 quarantine sites after some students violated safety protocols. Apparently the students left off-campus apartments and hotels.
