Innovation and Sustainability Showcased at ASIS

Securitron displayed several eco-friendly products at the show, while Adams Rite unveiled their new cutting-edge exit devices.

Adams Rite, an ASSA ABLOY Group brand, unveiled its new EX Series Exit Devices, showcasing advancements in mechanical to electrical upgrades, and providing a tech preview of the G100 Digital Glass Door Lock with wireless Aperio technology.

The new EX Series Exit Devices offer a sleek, flexible and installation-friendly solution featuring a universal hardware kit for aluminium, hollow metal, and wood applications and is available in three different lengths that can easily be cut in the field. Adams Rite, an ASSA ABLOY Group brand, unveiled its new EX Series Exit Devices.

The EX Series will launch with four models including the EX88 Interlocking Rim Exit Device, a robust and unique bolt design that interlocks the door to frame for enhanced strength and durability, the EX89 Pullman Rim Exit Device which is compatible with Adams Rite preload capable 74R2 Electric Strikes and surface mounted HES 9400 Series Electric Strikes, the EX76 CVR Exit Device with concealed adjustable rods and latching assemblies designed for easy installation, and the EX80 Series Dummy Push Bar whose flexible design comes standard with two monitoring switches and is field selectable for active or inactive configuration.

Adams Rite also showcased its Mechanical to Electrical upgrade path and products. End-users who are retrofitting an aluminium narrow stile installation are often looking to go from a completely mechanical lock to an electrified solution, which means products must be backward compatible. Adams Rite has long concentrated on designing latches and locks that are compatible with the Adams Rite MS Prep, saving time and money during upgrades. It also holds the aesthetics and integrity of an opening when upgrading to a new solution.

Securitron, an ASSA ABLOY Group brand, recently introduced its new M680E eco-friendly intelligent Magnalock series at ASIS International 2017. Along with the new EcoMag lock, Securitron will also showcase its GL1 Gate Lock and the R100 Wireless Reader with Aperio Technology.

Securitron, an ASSA ABLOY Group brand, recently introduced its new M680E eco-friendly intelligent Magnalock series at ASIS International 2017.

Securitron is known for its continued commitment to excellence in customer service and product quality, including new advances into sustainability with the M680E EcoMag lock. Delivering unsurpassed intelligence, style and convenience, this new series has an increased holding strength of 1,200 lbs and is eco-friendly, with an average power draw as low as 60mA. This change in power represents a reduction in energy consumption of up to 80 percent over the previous M680 series.

Also showcased was the GL1 Electromechanical Gate Lock, which provides weather-resistant force for electrical and mechanical operated indoor and outdoor gates. Designed for gates where gate sag and preload are concerns, the GL1 has 2,000 lbs of holding force, operates under preload of up to 100 lbs and is tamper resistant. The automatic dual voltage feature simplifies the ordering and installation process and ensures that no field adjustments are required.

The surface-mounted R100 Wireless Reader with Aperio Technology demonstrates Securitron’s innovation in the glass industry. The R100 offers an elegant way for customers to extend access control to glass, stone, granite and marble installations. With an easy-to-install wireless surface mounted reader, integrators don't have to worry about drilling into glass or other expensive materials or trenching for wire and installing a pedestal for installation; decreasing the cost of installation in these applications.
