Frontline Education is notifying individuals whose personal records were exposed during an unauthorized intrusion into its administrative and student health platforms.
The incident stemmed from a vulnerability in a third-party software product. Unauthorized actors accessed Frontline Central and School Health Management environments before security personnel contained the breach and patched the flaw.
An investigation conducted with an independent cybersecurity firm confirmed that exposed files contained sensitive personal identifiers. Compromised elements include Social Security numbers, birthdates, driver's license numbers, passport numbers, Medicaid IDs, other government identifiers and student IDs.
Frontline alerted affected school districts and is issuing written notices directly to impacted staff and families. The company is providing two years of complimentary credit monitoring for adults and cyber monitoring for minors through TransUnion.
