Four Fathers Stop School Shooter at Weekend Band Competition in Texas

An 83-year-old man allegedly injured one during a school shooting at a band competition in a Houston suburb.

According to a Facebook post by the Pasadena Police Department, the shooting happened after 6 p.m. at Pasadena Memorial High School on Saturday.

Dennis Erwin Brandl Jr. allegedly used a small-caliber weapon and entered the school where parents and students from several schools were during the competition.

The adult was injured before a father tackled Brandl. Three more fathers disarmed the shooter and held him down until law enforcement arrived at the scene.

The Pasadena PD stated that the victim didn’t know Brandl or had any contact with him.

All four fathers were helping to move equipment at the competition.
