HEMCO Debuts Flammable Storage Cabinet

During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, many schools have found themselves stocking up on hand sanitizer without a dedicated place to store it safely. HEMCO Laboratory Planning Solutions, a manufacturer of laboratory equipment, recently announced its flammable storage cabinet for the safe storage of flammable chemicals.

According to a news release, the UniLine Flammable Storage Cabinet is available in widths of 30”, 36” and 48”, with a standard size of 35” high and 22” deep. It comes with high temperature fiberglass insulation and is UL 1275 listed. Its front access doors are lined and edges are sealed, and it comes with an available locking mechanism for extra security. The interior shelf is also removable for storage of larger containers.

According to the HEMCO website, the cabinet exhaust can be vented out through the back, through the fume hood or through an exhaust blower system. A containment lip on the front bottom edge contains spills, while a liquid-proof 2”-deep pan covers the cabinet’s bottom to contain leaks and spills.
