Father of Georgia School Shooting Suspect Charged in Connection With Attack

Colin Gray, the father of the 14-year-old Georgia school shooting suspect, has also been charged in connection with the attack. That’s according to CNN.

The 54-year-old father was charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder and eight counts of cruelty to children. More charges are expected.

In each count, the arrest warrant states that the father was charged for “providing a firearm to Colt Gray with knowledge he was a threat to himself and others.”

If convicted on all counts, Colin Gray could face 180 years in prison. He has yet to enter a plea.

Law enforcement questioned both the father and son about online threats to commit a school shooting in May 2023. At the time, Colt denied the allegations and Colt stated that his son didn’t have unsupervised access to firearms in the house.

Two law enforcement officials told CNN that Colin Gray purchased an AR-15 style rifle for his son in December 2023.
