A new statewide school safety tip line is expected to launch in Indiana in January 2027. Backed by a $1 million investment, the service will allow anonymous reporting of safety concerns.
The service will be offered to all K-12 schools at no charge. Participation will be voluntary.
The tip line will provide a way to report school safety concerns anonymously, and trained safety specialists will monitor submissions around the clock throughout the year.
Urgent reports will be referred to designated school personnel and, when necessary, emergency responders, according to the state’s Office of School Safety.
The Central Indiana Educational Service Center will coordinate enrollment directly with school districts. Before the planned launch, the Office of School Safety will conduct informational sessions to explain the reporting service and participation process.
