Status Solutions has added the Inovonics Duress Card to its situational awareness system, giving K-12 teachers and employees a wearable method for requesting assistance from different areas of a school.
The device can activate up to three alarm conditions. When connected to the Status Solutions platform, an activation can send incident information to designated personnel and identify the type of response required.
Optional location and real-time tracking capabilities can help responders determine where an alert originated. The card also provides haptic vibration and an LED signal to confirm that an activation was registered.
The waterproof device uses the Inovonics EchoStream wireless network and includes a sealed battery with an estimated three-year life.
Schools can configure the card for multiple situations rather than limiting it to a single emergency type. The connected platform provides monitoring, alerting and reporting functions that route information to selected recipients.
The wearable can also be used in health care, senior living, hospitality and other workplaces where employees may need to request assistance while moving through a facility.
