Security 101 has launched Safe Learning 101, a security program developed alongside school safety expert Wayne Black to provide independent consulting and technical integration for educational institutions.
The partnership represents a new model in the industry, linking a third-party security authority with a nationally scaled systems integrator. The program is designed to help schools identify physical vulnerabilities and implement modern infrastructure through a unified process.
Black, an expert who has conducted hundreds of school security evaluations and served as a consultant in high-profile cases such as Parkland and Uvalde, will provide the strategic framework for the initiative. His firm, Wayne Black & Associates, specializes in threat assessment and emergency preparedness.
Safe Learning 101 is intended to assist schools regardless of their current infrastructure or budget. The program includes tailored strategic planning, technology deployment and assistance with grant preparation and RFP development to help districts secure funding for upgrades.
The initiative serves as the flagship launch for Safe Systems 101, a broader framework by Security 101. The company plans to expand this consultative model into other sectors, including healthcare, government and multifamily housing.
Security 101 operates more than 60 locations across the United States. The company provides project management and engineering through a network of corporate and franchise-owned offices, utilizing local teams to execute national technology standards.
