Mother of Michigan School Shooter Found Guilty on Four Counts of Involuntary Manslaughter

The mother of the teenager who killed four students in an Oxford, Michigan school has been found guilty of four counts of involuntary manslaughter because of the shooting. That’s according to a report from CNN.

Jennifer Crumbley is the mother of Ethan, who previously pleaded guilty to four counts of murder, one count of terrorism, and 19 other charges after the November 2021 shooting. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole in 2023.

During the trial, the prosecution argued that Jennifer Crumbley was responsible for the deaths because she was negligent in giving a gun to 15-year-old Ethan and didn’t help him receive proper mental health treatment.

According to CNN, Crumbley didn’t express regret for any of her actions:

“I’ve asked myself if I would have done anything differently, and I wouldn’t have,” she testified.

Crumbley’s husband, James, is set to go on trial for the same charges starting early next month.
