Dallas ISD Upgrades School Entrances with Secure Vestibules
Three Texas campuses are receiving keyless access controls, integrated security cameras and updated fire systems.

Physical security measures and facility infrastructure are expanding across the Dallas Independent School District through a series of capital improvement projects.
The initiatives focus on standardized access control installations designed to harden school entry points. Upgrades include dual-door secure vestibules equipped with intercom systems and surveillance cameras. The district is also implementing code-compliant fire alarm systems integrated with keyless access controls and electronic visitor tracking tools.
Construction activities are underway at Frank Guzick Elementary School in Northeast Dallas, where crews are installing a secure entry vestibule and an updated fire alarm system. Work is being coordinated around daily academic schedules to maintain normal school operations, with final completion scheduled for early 2027.
Similar physical security retrofits and fire protection upgrades are planned for George B. Dealey Montessori Academy in North Dallas. Additionally, infrastructure modernizations are scheduled for the Dallas ISD Resource Center West, located within the Dr. Elba and Domingo Garcia West Dallas STEM School, covering mechanical systems, interior finishes and fire safety equipment.
