Officer, Student Taken to Hospital After High-School “Brawl”

A fight at North Forney High School in Forney, Texas, on Monday afternoon sent a teen suspect and an officer to the hospital, local news reports. Forney ISD officials say the fight erupted among four or five students at about 1 p.m. Monday, toward the end of lunch period.

WFAA reports that a Forney ISD officer had one teen suspect in custody before the suspect headbutted the officer. Both were transported to a local hospital.

There has been no report on their conditions, and the district has not released the names of students involved. Video footage of the fight shows 4–5 students fighting while staff and district police try to break it up. Local news also reports that the footage shows several students kicking a student downed on the concrete, as well as a staff member falling over.

The incident is still under investigation.
