Pennsylvania Safe 2 Say Something Program Receives More Than 23,000 Tips

The Safe 2 Say Something program was only used for about half of the school year, but in the time it was used, it received more than 23,000 tips.

The Safe 2 Say Something program was put into use in mid-January of this year, and a recent report reveals that more than 23,000 tips were put into the program from the start date to the end of June, with about 1,300 of them being pranks.

According to the report, the most common concerns were bullying, self-harm and suicide. 19,000 reports were made through the mobile app, 3,500 through the website and 500 through phone calls.

The Safe 2 Say Something program oversees all K-12 students in Pennsylvania, including charter, private and vocational-technical schools.
