CEIA USA Sponsors 250 K-12 Security Training Scholarships

New partnership with the National Council of School Safety Directors aims to eliminate cost barriers for campus security leadership certification.

Educational safety professionals nationwide now have expanded access to professional certification following a new agreement between the National Council of School Safety Directors and CEIA USA.

As a Foundation-level partner, CEIA USA has committed to funding 250 scholarships for the Foundations of School Security Leadership Certificate. The initiative, scheduled to run through 2026, focuses on improving security standards across the K-12 landscape by providing specialized education to those navigating modern campus threats.

The scholarship package provides more than just coursework; it includes a full year of membership to the NCSSD. This membership allows security directors and administrators to collaborate with peers and share best practices for campus protection.

The Foundations Certificate consists of a nine-part, self-paced digital curriculum. Built upon the Path to Safer Schools framework, the course provides a comprehensive look at the lifecycle of campus safety, including prevention, preparedness, response and recovery.

While many school administrators lead safety efforts, they often lack formal security backgrounds. This program is designed to bridge that gap for both public and private school staff, including directors, coordinators, and campus specialists.

Enrollment for the scholarship program is currently open.
