A man took his own life after shooting and killing a woman at North Lake College in Irving, Texas.
After a weeklong series of threats made against students and staff, the South Burlington School District has found relief – and a suspect has been arrested.
School officials have banned visitors inside the building during instructional time.
Today is the first day classes are open after the fatal shooting at the San Bernardino school. There are new security policies already in place, but the Superintendent said that it’s okay if some students are comfortable coming back to class just yet.
As the end of the school year is getting closer, high school students who are checking out colleges for fall may want to ask these security questions when they tour their potential colleges.
Ohio State University is beefing up security following a car-and-knife attack that exposed flaws in emergency procedures.
There is no longer a threat at the school.
School administrators will have to take specific actions to better protect their students, staff, visitors and their campuses.
