Student Arrested in Texas for Bringing BB Gun onto School Bus
A 17-year-old high school student faces a felony weapon charge after he brought a BB gun that closely resembled a genuine firearm onto a school bus.

Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas went on lockdown Wednesday morning after it was reported that 17-year-old Gavin Frederick Golden had brought a gun onto a school bus.
The gun turned out to be a BB gun “that closely resembled a genuine firearm,” police said.
After the gun was reported, the school and surrounding area went into lockdown and two emails were sent to parents informing them of the lockdown.
“We will continue to provide a safe learning environment for our students and staff. I appreciate your understanding the confidential nature of police investigations and the limited information we can share," principal Karen Kraft wrote in one of the emails.
There were social media posts that followed with students saying they heard shots fired and that students were hurt, which officials said were false according to WFAA.
Golden was arrested about an hour after it was reported that he had a weapon, according to the news station. He is now facing a felony charge of exhibition of a firearm.
