An 18-year-old Western Illinois University student accused of shooting another student in a campus dorm Tuesday night is in custody in Chicago, university officials confirmed in a Facebook post Wednesday afternoon.
The Phoenix, AZ, Union High School District (PUHSD) is deciding how to spend more than a million dollars of its budget that would have gone to school resource officers.
The University’s after-hours security escort organizations will offer fewer services and programs for the fall semester as a result of decreased demand during the pandemic.
Two people died and six others were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning blocks away from Rutgers University.

Additional security staff have been added at The University of Notre Dame COVID-19 quarantine sites after some students violated safety protocols. Apparently the students left off-campus apartments and hotels.
You better sit down for this. Chicago Public School have voted to “trim” the budget for school resource officers on city K-12 campuses. By more than half, the budget has been sliced from $33 million to $15 million.
