A new partnership aims to bring advanced weapon detection technology to more college campuses across the United States.
ZeroEyes and Academic Innovators announced a collaboration to help higher education institutions improve their emergency response capabilities through a strategic referral program. The agreement allows the two organizations to combine security technology with institutional consulting.
Academic Innovators provides guidance to universities facing operational, financial and governance challenges. Under the new agreement, the firm will connect its network of higher education clients with proactive security tools.
ZeroEyes develops an artificial intelligence-based software platform that integrates with existing security cameras. The system is designed to identify exposed weapons, such as firearms and knives, in or near occupied buildings. When a weapon is identified, the software sends localized alerts, images and threat intelligence to security personnel and first responders within seconds.
The combined effort seeks to help university administrators anticipate security vulnerabilities and streamline communication with law enforcement during active threats.
