Several Dead Following Explosion at Kindergarten in China
The Chinese government has reported seven people have been killed and 59 others were injured as a result of an explosion at the front gate of a kindergarten in eastern China.
Following an explosion at the Chuangxin Kindergarten in Fengxian in China, which happened as parents and relatives were picking up children after school, seven fatalities and 59 injuries have been reported so far.
Although the blast has not yet been confirmed as a deliberate attack or an accident, an eyewitness said the explosion looked like it came from a bottle of cooking oil.
Videos of the explosion and its aftermath have been posted on various social media sites, showing children and adults on the ground near pools of blood. Since China has tight gun control laws, attacks are usually carried out with other weapons such as knives or homemade bombs.
